Baltimore has a variety of musical and theatrical troupes that
cater to the lesbian community.  If I am missing your group,

Charm City Boys

Industrialization is to Baltimore as the Charm City Boys are to smelling each jar in a spice rack without labels.
On the corner of Conkling and Dillon streets, across from the Natty Boh building, you'll find the Charm City
Boys; an eclectic group of gender performers.
Each show is as diverse as its royalty: mixing in live vocals, hip-hop, country, political, alternative and even
dancing genitalia. The Charm City Boys can be seen every third Friday of the month at Gallaghers and have
been entertaining the crowds since May 2002.
Enjoy the show, hon!
Charm City Kitty Club

The Charm City Kitty Club is a series designed to foster, showcase, and celebrate creative _expression for
lesbian, dyke, bisexual, transgender and transsexual women and our allies. The goal is to serve as a catalyst
for connection and a forum for discussion through the arts. All genders are welcome and encouraged to
attend. The Charm City Kitty Club is a program housed within the Creative Alliance that features music,
visual/performance art, film/video, writing and various other forms of creative _expression.

The Creative Alliance is a community based non-profit organization that presents and promotes the arts and
humanities. As a membership organization of artists, arts supporters, writers, scholars and businesses, the
Creative Alliance cultivates community through collaboration.

The Charm City Kitty Club’s vision of a welcoming and respectful environment for all communities is an
atmosphere that makes a commitment to be free from racism, classism, ageism, ableism, biphobia,
transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, cultural appropriation, and censorship. Audiences and performers are
asked to participate in the creation of this open and non-oppressive environment.

There are no auditions or pre-screenings required for showing work at the Charm City Kitty Club. Each show is
curated, not based on an objective measure of “quality,” but toward the goal of assembling a diverse and
stimulating blend of performances. Performers are asked to review their work in terms of the values stated
above. To perform, send an e-mail to mamakitty(at)charmcitykittyclub.com. Interested performers/artists/those
with bravado and hubris, please send a brief paragraph stating your performance medium and a description
